Paws University was founded in 1887 on a warm patch of floor in the reading room of the Old Library, where its first chancellor, Archibald Whiskerton the Elder, noticed that learning proceeded best after lunch. The university has been accredited by the Board of Feline Higher Education, the Council of Mice Affairs and, by marriage, a small committee of pigeons.
Today the campus enrols 3,412 students across eleven faculties, supported by 209 academic staff and approximately 600 unlisted visitors who sit in on lectures for the heat. Our motto, Lux et Lactis, is a promise to students that they will be given light, and a saucer.
We offer degrees in Sleep Studies, Knocking Things Over, Applied Window Watching and Comparative Meowing.
